End User License Agreement
AJ Long Electric — QuickBooks Online Integration
Effective date: August 14, 2026
Last updated: August 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs use of the AJ Long Electric QuickBooks Online integration (the “Application”), a private software integration operated by AJ Long Electric, Inc. (“AJ Long Electric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Application connects AJ Long Electric’s internal business systems to QuickBooks Online through Intuit’s published APIs. It is operated solely for AJ Long Electric’s own accounting and business-operations purposes.
By accessing or using the Application, you (“you” or “User”) agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Application.
2. Who May Use the Application
The Application is private, internal software. It is not offered, sold, licensed, or distributed to the general public, and it is not a multi-tenant or commercially available product.
Authorized Users are limited to:
- Owners, officers, and employees of AJ Long Electric;
- Contractors, bookkeepers, and accounting professionals engaged by AJ Long Electric and acting within the scope of that engagement; and
- Any other individual expressly authorized in writing by AJ Long Electric.
The Application connects only to QuickBooks Online company files owned or controlled by AJ Long Electric. It does not access, and is not authorized to access, the QuickBooks data of any third party.
3. License Grant
Subject to your continued compliance with this Agreement, AJ Long Electric grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Application solely for AJ Long Electric’s internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by AJ Long Electric.
4. Restrictions
You may not:
- Use the Application for any purpose other than AJ Long Electric’s internal business operations;
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Application;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or otherwise transfer the Application or access to it;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices;
- Use the Application to access QuickBooks data belonging to any person or entity other than AJ Long Electric;
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any authentication, rate limiting, logging, or security control;
- Use the Application in violation of Intuit’s Terms of Service, the Intuit Developer Terms of Service, or any applicable law or regulation; or
- Share credentials, access tokens, or API keys with any unauthorized person.
5. Intuit and QuickBooks Online
The Application interoperates with QuickBooks Online, a product of Intuit Inc. (“Intuit”). Intuit is not a party to this Agreement. You acknowledge that:
- Your use of QuickBooks Online is governed separately by your agreement with Intuit;
- Intuit makes no warranties regarding the Application and bears no responsibility or liability for it;
- AJ Long Electric is solely responsible for the Application; and
- Access may be suspended or terminated if Intuit modifies, deprecates, or restricts the APIs the Application depends on.
6. Data and Security
Scope of access. The Application requests the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting OAuth scope. It reads and, where required for an authorized workflow, writes accounting records in AJ Long Electric’s own QuickBooks Online company file.
Credential handling. OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest and are never transmitted or exposed to any party other than Intuit and AJ Long Electric’s authorized systems. Tokens are not logged, printed, or included in error output.
Transport security. All communication with Intuit APIs occurs over TLS 1.2 or higher.
Retention and deletion. QuickBooks data retrieved by the Application is retained only as long as needed for the business purpose that prompted retrieval, and is subject to the retention and deletion practices described in our Privacy Policy. On disconnection, stored tokens are revoked and deleted.
No sale of data. AJ Long Electric does not sell, rent, or trade QuickBooks data, and does not use it for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to its own accounting and business operations.
Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
7. Disconnection and Termination
You may disconnect the Application at any time from within QuickBooks Online (Apps → My Apps → Disconnect) or by contacting us at the address in Section 12.
AJ Long Electric may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, including where continued access would violate this Agreement, Intuit’s terms, or applicable law.
Upon disconnection or termination:
- The license granted in Section 3 ends immediately;
- OAuth tokens are revoked with Intuit and deleted from our systems; and
- Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive.
8. Intellectual Property
The Application, including its source code, configuration, structure, and documentation, is the property of AJ Long Electric and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This Agreement transfers no ownership interest.
“QuickBooks” and “Intuit” are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Use of those marks does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation beyond the API integration described here.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
AJ Long Electric does not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that data synchronized through it will be complete or accurate. The Application is a convenience tool and is not a substitute for review of your books by a qualified accounting professional.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AJ LONG ELECTRIC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APPLICATION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
AJ LONG ELECTRIC’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
